Prof Elizabeth Fagan

Elizabeth Fagan, MSc., MD is a transatlantic physician, academic hepatologist and biotechnology executive. She received her undergraduate and post-graduate medical training in adult and paediatric hepatology/gastroenterology at King’s and Hammersmith Hospital (RPMS) in London, UK. In Chicago, USA she is a Professor (now adjunct) of Internal Medicine and Paediatrics at Rush Presbyterian, St. Luke’s Medical Center, specializing in critical care liver disease and transplantation.
Elizabeth also has extensive experience in Biotechnology Drug Development having worked full-time for several small-to-medium-sized biotechnology companies in Texas and California and one in Australia. She has been involved directly with all phases (I-IV) of clinical drug development and medical affairs including filing successfully for approval in the US, UK and Canada.
She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists, Royal College of Physicians and American College of Physicians. Elizabeth has published over 100 scientific papers and 30 book chapters on liver disease and a book on viral hepatitis. Her medical (MB., BS), and MSc with Distinction (Immunology), degrees are from King’s and MD degree in Molecular Virology is from the University of London.
